You’ve probably already discovered the great sport fishing opportunities available on the Chesapeake Bay. If not, then Captain Mike and Captain Eddie would like to invite you and five of your friends to enjoy a day of fishing on the Chesapeake Bay aboard the Proud Mary. From early Spring to late Fall, there is a bounty of fish to be caught on the Chesapeake Bay. Wether you are in search of Stripped Bass, also known as Rockfish, or Croaker, Spot, Sea Trout, Bluefish, Flounder or Drum, these captains will surely find the honey hole for you.
Where? The Proud Mary is located at 4055 Gordon Spinet Ave. in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; (between the Fastop and the Water Park). This is less than a 45 minute drive from Baltimore or Washington, DC.
How much?
Do I need a fishing license?
You do not need a fishing license on the Proud Mary. You may bring your favorite bottom fishing rod, but please NO BANANAS, no trolling rods or tackle boxes, we have all the rods and tackle you will ever need. It may be an old wives tale, but it's a fact that Bananas are bad Luck on a fishing charter boat. History tells us that this tale originated from early years when boats with Bananas in the cargo, ran aground, got lost at sea, or lost many of their crew members to a deadly sickness. Further investigation indicated that the bananas were prone carry to the deadly tarantula spiders.
Today, I believe the bananas are safe, but just to make sure that we have great day on the bay, let's leave the bananas home.
